Jesus lived a life of continual prayer and service. In union with him, we the Sisters of Mount Carmel strive to do the same, relying on his grace and supporting one another. After many happy years of service as a teacher in Catholic schools, adult education, and prison ministry, I was not looking forward to visiting the residents in nursing homes as a volunteer. To my great surprise this has become a heartwarming experience–a blessing for me and hopefully for the residents I encounter. I have also served as spiritual assistant for the Lay Carmelite in Abbeville for several years. Their devotion has been an inspiration to me. Through Christ may we continue to enrich each others’ lives.
