The Sisters of Mount Carmel from the USA, Philippines and Timor-Leste rejoiced and thanked our Loving God for the blessings and the graces the Congregation received especially the gift of vocations to Consecrated Life.

Two young women: Sister Glaiza Granaderos and Sister Cristilyn Rubio became novices of the Sisters of Mount Carmel in the Philippines on May 31, 2013. After their two year novitiate formation they publicly pronounced their vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience for a year on May 31, 2015 at Holy Child Hospital, Dumaguete City, Philippines. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Reverend Bishop Jolito Cortez, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Dumaguete. The profession of vows was well attended by members of the families and friends, and the members of the Sisters of Mount Carmel in the Philippines.

Sister Glaiza Granaderos joined the live-in aspirancy of the Sisters of Mount Carmel in the Philippines on November 30, 2011 and was accepted into the postulancy program on May 31, 2012. Sister Glaiza is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Granaderos from Tubajon, Dinagat Island, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. She received her Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management from University of Cebu in 2007. Currently, Sister Glaiza is missioned in the Philippines, as a team member at Mount Carmel Mobile Clinic, Vocation Director for Visayas and Mindanao area and reside at Holy Child Hospital Convent in Dumaguete City. She is also taking courses at St. Paul University towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.

Phil. First Profession 28.1Sister Cristilyn Rubio joined the live-in aspirancy program of the Sisters of Mount Carmel in the Philippines on March 12, 2012 and was accepted into the postulancy program on May 31, 2012. Sister Cristilyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Agapito Rubio from Bagong Silang, Kitao-tao, Bukidnon. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Food Technology at Central Mindanao University. Sister Cristilyn is missioned in the Philippines, as a team member of Mount Carmel Mobile Clinic while serving as administrative secretary at Holy Child Hospital, Dumaguete City, Philippines.

During the Eucharistic celebration Sister Glaiza and Sister Cristilyn received a black veil and a mission cross, a sign of their commitment to Christ and Christ’s mission through the ministries entrusted to them.
